If/Then function in Excel

This post is about if you want to use the ‘if/then’ function in Excel with letters or text. The ‘original’ if/then formula with values is something like this: =IF(C13=20,1,0)

But if you want to use text or letters, just put ” ” on each side of the letter or word you want to have in the function, like this: =IF(C13=”ED”,1,0)

Pretty basic, but I still had to google it 🙂
